Colourpop Cosmetics: Tulle, Beeper, Bad Habit, Nillionaire Review

posted in: HEALTH | BEAUTY | REVIEWS | 5

I want to keep this review short, straight forward and sweet!
Today I will be swatching + reviewing my recent purchase from an online store called Colourpop Cosmetics.

About the Brand
Colourpop Cosmetics are based out of California and the products are Vegan.
“We are 100% fur baby friendly, bunny approved, and only test our products on humans – the ones in our HQ to be exact.”

About the Product
The items I purchased are from the the Ultra Matte Lips Collection + the Eye Shadow & Pigments.
The Ultra Matte Lips retail for $6 each and the Shadow + Pigment for $5.

These prices were too good to pass up, so I knew I wanted to try them.
**They have a discount if you are a new member who signs up for their emailing list!  I used this discount when creating this order.

Swatches
I was so excited to try them on.  These were done the day I received them.
I was kind of lazy and wore them without lip liner, & i’m not a professional make up artist so whatever lol

Tulle
Tulle
(Swatched, On the Top)
Description via website: “Not the douchey kind but a dusty mauve burgundy”
How I would describe it: A Mix of Brown and Dark red.

Review Experience
This is a darker sassy color.  I was hoping it was going to be more of a soft red with hints of brown, but it looks more like a brown with hints of soft red.
This will be a nice one to wear for me once in awhile when I want a darker lip.

I will use this color until it runs out buuut I might not repurchase.

Beeper

Beeper
(Swatched, 2nd to the top)
Description via website: “Call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me in this warm mid-tone taupe.”
How I would describe it: Soft brown mixed with a warm pink

Review Experience
When looking at blogger reviews online this color looked different in swatches & on different girls.
So I as hesitant if I wanted it or not… But I still generally wanted to try a color like it so I went for it.

I would probably would wear this in a situation where I would want a more Nude lip color since it does not really pop that much.

It is a color that I noticed is on trend right now for the  girls who like to wear all monochrome + nude colors, similar to Kim Kardashians & Kylie Jenner style.
I actually have heard this specific Colourpop color is a Good Replica/Dupe of one of the colors in Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kit.

So this color is good for that general type look, if you want that vibe.

I will use this color until it runs out buuut I may or may not not repurchase.
Its a new type of color from my usual picks that I need to practice styling with my outfits.

BadHabit

 Bad Habit
(Swatched, 2nd to the bottom)
Description via website: “This dusty mauve pink will be a bad habit you don’t want to kick.”
How I would describe it: A soft Medium red mixed with Violet

Review Experience I could not find any good reviews online of this color so I wanted to try it out for myself.

In my opinion this color is very close to the product photo on the website, but not exact in my opinion.

It’s a bummer because I really want to find that perfect “dusty mauve pink”,
this batch is a bit darker then I imagine it would have been.
But even so, I still liked it when I first put it on!

This color is my favorite out of the 3 I got!
This color is the most likely that I would re purchase.

Nillionaire

Nillionaire
(Glitter Eye Shadow Pigment)
Description via website: “You’ll be looking rich in this warm bronze with tons of gold and multi coloured glitter in a Metallic finish.”
How I would describe it: ^^The websites description is fitting.

Review Experience

I was watching youtube reviews of some of the Colourpop Cosmetic Matte Lips when a beauty blogger reviews this one as apart of her batch.
I fell in love and knew I needed to buy it!  Ive been looking for that perfect bronze/golden eye shadow to start trying to replicate some eye makeup looks Ive been saving on Pinterest.

THE PHOTOS DO NOT DO THIS COLOR FULL JUSTICE.
My camera could not capture all of the shimmer this item has.  It is so cute without being overwhelming.
In the photo where I put it on my eye lid, I wore eye shadow primer to help keep it on.
The eye shadow was kind of squishy when I rubbed my brush against it, so I guess this is not a full powder.  But I personally was cool with it.
I guess since it was not a dry powder, and had some gel like moistness to it.  That helped me brush the product onto my skin easier.

I actually do not wear eye shadow often, but if I do end up finishing this pot I would re purchase again along with more matte lipsticks.
